Lovingly restored with original features and fully furnished ready for your stay, Sealwood Holiday Cottage makes an ideal base for exploring the National Forest and local area, or simply relaxing and enjoying the tranquility and quietude of the Derbyshire countryside.


Prospect Room

P1170152DSC_1159The main room comprises of what remains of large Inglenook fireplace, now with an electric fire. There is a comfortable sofa with a Georgian chair, a five legged antique table with 6 dining chairs, Welsh dresser and hall stand.

There is also a 32″ digital television with Freeview, and a DVD player.

The entire ground floor enjoys underfloor heating.


The Kitchen

30Comprises of a sink & draining board, two electric hobs, a combination microwave oven, and fridge.

It is well equipped with a kettle, toaster, saucepans, and all the relevant kitchen equipment, as well as Tea Towels, Dishcloth and Washing up liquid.


The Bedroom

DSC_1191DSC_1198The winding stairs (with a rope handrail) lead to a gothic door, behind which is the bedroom. It is a spacious room with a slate fireplace, a fantastic pyramid roof, a large window with glorious views over Leicestershire, and double bed with corona. There is a wardrobe, dressing table, set of drawers and two bedside tables, two chairs and a stool. A radiator heats this bedroom.

All bed linen and towels are provided.


Bathroom

DSC_1193This is reached by a small door to the left of the bed, off the small private landing the bathroom comprises of a bath, with glass screen and shower over. A washbasin, toilet and electric towel rail, this room has under floor heating, and is supplied with hand soap, shower gel and a hairdryer.
